Rental Requirements

The minimum age to rent a vehicle from Movii México is 21 years old. A young driver fee applies to drivers between 21 and 24 years old.

A valid driver’s license is required. Both the primary renter and any additional drivers must present a valid driver’s license from their country of residence. We reserve the right to verify the driver’s license in accordance with Movii México’s regulations and to deny the rental if any requirements are not met.

Please note that Movii México requires a minimum one-year driving experience with a valid driver’s license.

A valid photo identification is required. Mexican citizens must present an IFE/INE credential, while foreigners must present a passport or FM3.

A credit card in the renter’s name is required. Accepted credit card forms of payment include American Express, Visa, and Master Card. Movii México reserves the right to accept or reject certain bank credit cards, special program cards, or cards that are in poor condition or illegible.

Please note that Movii México requires a minimum one-year credit card history.

Movii México reserves the right to refuse a vehicle rental if any of our rental requirements are not met.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you need to cancel your reservation, we will process the refund as soon as possible. Our flexible cancellation policy is as follows:

• 100% refund for cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to the rental date.
• 100% refund in the form of Movii Credits for cancellations made within 72 hours of the rental date.
• 50% refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the rental date.
• No refund will be provided if the client cancels within 24 hours of the rental date or fails to show up without cancelling the reservation.
• In the case of an early return of the vehicle, no refund will be given for unused days.

Modifications to the Reservation

You can make changes to your reservation by contacting us through our WhatsApp number, customer service, or email.

Pre-Authorizations

A pre-authorization is a security deposit hold on the credit card, which is deducted from the credit card limit but is not a charge. At the end of the rental, the amount corresponding to the rental fee will be deducted from this pre-authorization, and the remaining balance will be released in case of any additional charges. To inquire about the release time for the pre-authorization on your credit card, please contact your bank directly, as the release process is outside of our control once the rental contract is closed on our portal.

Vehicle Information

Movii México guarantees the size and capacity of the vehicle, although the models and brands may vary from city to city. In the unlikely event that the reserved car group is not available upon arrival at the counter, Movii will always offer the next higher-level or car group at no additional cost.
