FAQ

Movii is operating in the following city: Cancun.

Our minimum age to rent a Movii is 21 years old.

It's very easy! Let us know the dates you'll need the car and the location, select the type of car you prefer, complete a short verification process, pay with your credit card, and come get your car. We'll pick you up at the airport and take you to our branch. Don't worry about paying anything extra as there are no surprise costs. To return, one of our staff members will assist you with the check-out process and take you to the airport. If you need to pick up your car in the Hotel Zone, Movii takes care of it. We offer a service to drop off your car at hotels and places located in this area.

Yes! A standard deposit of MXN $6,000 (USD amount based on the daily exchange rate) is required when the trip starts. The deposit will be refunded when you return the car and may take up to 5 business days to appear in your bank account (depending on your bank).

Once you arrive at the branch, park your Movii wherever you like in the parking lot. One of our staff members will assist you in receiving your car. It won't take more than 5 minutes!

We accept most credit cards. The security deposit must be made with a credit card, but your final payment can be made with a debit card if you prefer. We do not accept cash or prepaid cards.

The accepted cards are Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX.

You can return your Movii with any level of gasoline. If you return it emptier than when you received it, don't worry! We'll refuel it for you and only charge you for the gasoline at market prices.

You don't need to clean your Movii before returning it due to normal use. In cases where the vehicle requires extensive cleaning, you may be notified and charged an additional cleaning fee of MXN $5,000. Extensive cleaning may be required for excessive dirt inside the car, stains on the carpets or seats, or excessive trash.

Extensive cleaning will also be applied if the presence of smoke is detected as smoking inside your Movii is prohibited.

The daily rate is based on a 24-hour period. If your reservation exceeds the 24-hour period, an extra day will be charged. For example, if you pick up your Movii at 8:00 AM and are scheduled to return the car at 8:00 AM the next day but actually return it at 10:00 AM, a full day charge will apply. Each additional day without prior notice and confirmation from the company will have a value of MXN $3,000 pesos.

We are open every day from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If you have an arrival or departure time outside the pre-established hours, we can arrange to receive you as long as you notify us with a 12-hour notice period.

Yes! All surfaces that can be touched by our customers and employees are sanitized before delivery.

If you need to cancel your reservation, we will process the refund as soon as possible. Our flexible cancellation policy is as follows:

Full refunds of 100% for bookings when the cancellation is made before 72 hours prior to the rental date.

Full refunds of 100% for bookings when the cancellation is made within 72 hours prior to the rental date in the form of Movii Credits.

50% refund for bookings when the cancellation is made 48 hours prior to the rental date.

No refunds will be provided if the customer cancels 24 hours or less prior to the rental date, or if the customer fails to show up and does not cancel the reservation.

In cases where early car return is carried out, no amount or differential will be refunded for the days in which the customer chooses not to use the car.

When you make a reservation for your Movii, we will automatically charge you 100% of your trip so that you can enjoy it without the worry of having to pay later.

The security deposit will be charged one day before your rental.

Yes! Oui! Yes! Ja! Please upload your passport and driver's license in step 4 of the rental process. It is essential to bring them with you when you pick up your car.

All Movii trips come with unlimited kilometers.

Yes! You can rent one in the extras section for MXN $250 per day when making your reservation.

Your rental already includes premium comprehensive coverage insurance. It covers everything except the deductible in case of a major accident. If you need to review any additional information, you can do so here.

You can add an additional driver for free; we just need their license at the time of registration. Maximum of two drivers in total.

Don't worry, there are no tolls in Cancun. If you decide to take the road to Merida, all toll booths accept cash.

Unfortunately, we currently do not offer this service, and you will have to return it to its original location.

Don't worry about flight delays; we understand that these things happen. That's why it's important to provide us with your flight number during the reservation of your Movii. We'll wait for you to arrive.

If you experience any of these issues, please contact us first via our WhatsApp number or the emergency number found inside your car.

If you lose your keys or leave them inside the car, contact us, and we will assist you. However, you are responsible for the associated replacement costs.

If you need to return your Movii earlier than planned, we will gladly wait for you at our branch within the established hours.

You can extend your trip for as long as you want up to 24 hours before the delivery, depending on availability.

If extending your trip is not possible, we ask that you return your Movii on the scheduled day and time. Otherwise, an additional charge of MXN $3,000 per extra day will be applied.

In the event that your rented Movii is detained due to an accident, a breathalyzer test, or improper parking, in addition to the fines and expenses for releasing the vehicle, charges will also be applied for the rental days the car remains impounded and an Administrative Services fee.

After completing your first reservation with Movii, you will receive a referral code in your email. Every time a new user reserves with your code, you will receive MXN $350 in Movii credits, and they will receive MXN $350 discount on their first reservation (to be confirmed).

Each user is responsible for paying traffic violations before returning their vehicle. If the fines are not paid before the end of the trip, we will send you the associated fines along with an administrative cost of MXN $500.

Don't worry, if we find it, we'll keep it! Contact support, and we'll see if we can locate your lost item.

We do not send lost items; we arrange a time for you or a family member or friend to come and retrieve your belongings.
